Christmas in King is thrilled to announce that it will be hosting a Yuk Yuk’s comedy night on September 23 at the Kingbridge Centre in King City. All proceeds from the show will go to helping hundreds of people in King Township have a brighter and merrier holiday season. The need is particularly great this year. The King Township Food Bank has seen an increase of more than 50% in the number of people it serves so far this year. Christmas in King reaches beyond food bank registrants to help those who can manage 11 months of the year but need that extra support during the holidays.
Comedy in King will feature Martha Chaves as the headliner along with Patrick Haye and Justin Shaw.

Martha is a Nicaraguan-Canadian comedian, actress, activist and playwright. She is a regular in the comedy circuits in Canada, the United States and Latin America, at Just for Laughs and other major festivals, and on CBC Radio. Funny man Patrick Haye grew up in Brampton, acting the fool in the school classroom. He’s grown from being a class clown into a charismatic entertainer. Over the years, his talent has evolved to include acting, writing, voice work, and stand-up comedy. Justin Shaw is a comedian originally from Prince Edward Island. He is a high-energy storyteller with off-beat observations that keep audiences laughing and questioning his life choices.

Comedy in King replaces the Holiday Light Tour this year as the premier fundraiser for Christmas in King. Thank you to everyone who supported the Holiday Light Tour.

Comedy in King is supported by Arts Society King and the Township of King. A huge thank you to our generous sponsors Schomberg Dental and Orthodontics, JTF Homes and Western Financial Group.

Tickets are $60 each. Doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 8 pm. A shuttle service will be available on site at the Kingbridge Centre, 12750 Jane St., King City.
