The HR Division contributes to the achievement of corporate goals and objectives and the satisfaction and well-being of the employees. We provide support for the Township’s staff through the preservation, development, and maintenance of an ethical human resources system.

The Human Resources Division is comprised of the following areas that focus on talent acquisition, leadership, performance, compensation, benefits, health & safety and providing quality services:

  • Health, Safety, Wellness and Corporate Training
  • Employee and Labour Relations including Contract and Grievance Administration as well as Collective Bargaining
  • Training and Development
  • Salary and Benefits Administration, Employee Orientation and Retirement Counseling
  • An Internal Consultancy Service in the area of Management/Employment Issues
  • Human Resource Policy Development and Implementation
  • Job Analysis, Job Descriptions, Job Maintenance, Job Evaluations and Compensation Surveys
  • Long Term Disability, Group Insurance, Life, AD&D, and Workplace Safety & Insurance Benefits Claims Administration, including Return to Work Programs and Workplace Accommodation
  • Personnel Record Keeping
  • Employee & Family Assistance Program
  • Human Rights and Cultural Diversity Issues
  • Workplace Violence and Harassment Prevention Policy Administration
