Volunteer Application
Apply to become a King Volunteer by following these 3 simple steps:
- Sign in or Create an online account through Xplor Recreation.
- Submit your application in the Volunteer Applications section.
- Sign up for available volunteer opportunities, CLICK HERE!
- All King volunteers are required to take AODA training and must upload a copy of their certificate to their Xplor Recreation client profile in the document section. Free AODA training can be found at Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
- Applicants must be 14 years of age and will be required to complete a questionnaire/agreement form upon applying.
- Please understand that your application is pending Coordinator approval. After coordinator approval and completion of AODA, volunteers will have the chance to sign up for current volunteer opportunities.

Leaders In Training (LIT)
Our Leader In Training (LIT) program is a great opportunity for youth to learn how to become leaders and contribute to our summer camp community. With guidance from experienced mentors, LIT participants will develop various leadership skills through teamwork, trainings, and real-world camp experiences.
LIT participants will be guaranteed 1 week of volunteer placement and can volunteer up to a maximum of 3 weeks after successful completion of all mandatory program requirements.
Aquatics Volunteer Program (Coming Soon, Fall 2025)
Registration for residents opens at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 30 on the Township’s online recreation registration system at townshipofking.perfectmind.com.
Looking to gain experience and knowledge on how to become a swim instructor or lifeguard? Join us at the Zancor Centre, Aqua Tech Solutions Pool as an aquatic volunteer. As an aquatics volunteer, you will gain valuable work experience and learn new skills while having fun. Aquatic volunteers will help lifeguards and swim instructors with the transitions of patrons in between classes, class management, set up and cleanup of the deck and more. Volunteers will be expected to attend a mandatory orientation night and must be able volunteer for the full duration of the fall session for 2-5 hours per scheduled night designated by the Lead Hand.
