Chit Chats & Coffee – Free
Thursday February 9, 10:00am - Nobleton Arena, Upstairs Hall
Come join us for some conversations and enjoy a warm coffee/tea. Our first series of chit chats and coffee will be with Joanne Bailey. Joanne is a resident of Schomberg, retired college professor and registered nurse after 47 years in the health care industry. Joanne makes time to volunteer in the community on the Schomberg Community Farm, Arts Society King, and is a writer for the Mosaic Magazine. Joanne understands the importance of engaging seniors since most of her nursing career was dedicated to this demographic. Joanne will continue volunteering with us to facilitate and coordinate programs for seniors. We welcome her expertise!

Make Arts – Free

A variety of different art supplies will be available to create a masterpiece of your choosing.
Mobility Matters
This program is a slow-paced, low impact course specifically designed for seniors 55+ who are looking to strengthen the muscles they use in their everyday life. Seniors also engage in light but effective exercises known to improve balance and coordination.
Walk and Talk
Looking for a warm place to walk during these colder months? Join us in the gymnasium at the King Township Municipal Centre. Indoor walking shoes required.

Our Community Services department helps manage the King City Seniors' Centre in partnership with the King Senior Board. The centre’s drop-in programming schedule can be found under the 55+ programming tab listed above. All KCSC activities have a daily activity fee of $1.00 for members and $2.00 for non-members. Specialty programs will be at an additional cost. For more information, please call the Recreation Coordinator at 905-833-6557.
King Senior Membership
An annual King Senior Membership is open to all residents of King and non-residents who are aged 55 plus. By becoming a King senior member, you will have access to the following:
- A King senior membership card
- A weekly email from the board with all 55+ program information and updates
- Access to 55+ programs at King City Seniors Centre, Nobleton Arena, Schomberg Community Hall and Trisan Centre
- Programs and services at a discounted price
