Did you know that the old trick of wrapping your silverware in cling-wrap can actually damage it rather than preserve it? Curious to learn why? Attend the KHCC's "Artifact Roadshow" for museum tips and tricks to care for items at home from: metals and silverware, leather, ceramic, paper, natural fibres and fur, and more! This workshop will provide you with museum-grade advice for practical use at home.

For the later half of the workshop, bring an item from your antiques or vintage collection to explore its unique history; and, specific care instructions to preserve it for the future. Our museum staff will work with you one-on-one to share its secrets and conservation tips!

Don't have an artifact to bring? No problem! Get a chance to handle artifacts from our collection to learn about how to apply its care at home.

Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 6:30pm-8:00pm. $15+HST/person. Ages 14+. Pre-Registration required.

Pre-Register HERE.
