$49,500 in proceeds will go toward municipal programs, services and facilities

Township of King, Ont. (July 22, 2025) — From birdies to bogeys and everything in between, the 2025 Mayor’s Golf Tournament was a hole-in-one for community spirit and generosity. Held at the scenic Nobleton Lakes Golf Club on Thursday, Jul. 17, this sold-out event brought together local leaders, businesses and golf enthusiasts for a day of fun, friendly competition and fundraising.

Hosted annually by the Township on behalf of Mayor Steve Pellegrini, this year’s tournament embraced an all-Canadian theme, complete with local flavours, festive fanfare and serving as a tribute to the Canuck spirit and values that unite King.

Thanks to the incredible support of sponsors, donors and participants, the tournament raised $49,500—with all proceeds going toward municipal programs, services and facilities that make life better in King Township.

This year, King Township Council allocated a portion of the funds from previous tournaments to support the Township’s 175th anniversary celebrations, honouring King’s rich history and inspiring its future. Proceeds from previous tournaments also helped top up a $15,000 donation to the United Way, supporting over 650 programs across York Region that address housing, food insecurity, mental health and more.
