Markham Household Hazardous Waste Depot will be closed for maintenance from Thurs., July 29 to Fri., Aug. 13

The Markham Household Hazardous Waste Depot will be closed for maintenance from Thursday July 29th to Friday August 13^th. Regular depot hours will resume Saturday, August 14.   

This closure is necessary for repaving and fixing potholes.

Residents can take their hazardous waste to the next closest York Region depot location, the Elgin Mills Community Environmental Centre, located at 1124 Elgin Mills Road East, in the City of Richmond Hill. Approximate driving distance is 12 km (15 to 20 minutes driving time). Residents can also search other locations at york.ca/wastedepots
