Discover perfect picnic shelters and indoor venues for your next event

Township of King, Ont. — As the weather warms up and the allure of outdoor gatherings beckons, King Township is kicking off its outdoor facility booking season, offering an array of picturesque picnic shelters and indoor venues for your next special event or meeting.

Picnic perfect locations

With a selection of scenic spots nestled within King Township's stunning landscapes, hosting your event amidst nature has never been easier. Choose from various locations including Cold Creek Conservation Area, Memorial Park in King City, Nobleton Community Sports Park and the newly renovated Pottageville Pavilion. Each location offers unique amenities and capacities to accommodate your specific needs.

Cold Creek Conservation Area: Enjoy the tranquility of nature in this expansive area boasting a large picnic shelter equipped with 16 picnic tables. Perfect for BBQs and family reunions, this venue offers a serene setting for your outdoor event. Please note, portable toilets are available on site.

Memorial Park, King City: Located amidst the greenery of Memorial Park, this picnic shelter provides indoor washroom facilities and six picnic tables for your convenience. Ideal for gatherings with friends and family, this spot offers both comfort and charm.

Nobleton Community Sports Park: Embrace the community spirit at Nobleton Community Sports Park, where another inviting picnic shelter awaits. With indoor washroom facilities and six picnic tables, this location combines convenience with natural beauty for your event.

Pottageville Pavilion: Step into a rural retreat at the newly renovated Pottageville Pavilion, available for rent from May to October. With a capacity of 50 people, this charming venue is perfect for intimate gatherings and parties amidst the scenic backdrop of King Township.

Indoor venues

Are you more of an indoor person or can’t risk foul weather impacting your event? There are plenty of indoor facilities that can be booked in King including:

Schomberg Community Hall: The newly renovated Schomberg Community Hall is a fully accessible facility with an elevator. The hall has two levels, each featuring separate kitchens and washrooms. The upper hall accommodates 150 people and the lower hall accommodates 90 people.

King City Seniors Centre: Located in the King City branch of the King Township Public Library, the King City Seniors Centre’s multi-purpose room can hold 75 people and includes kitchen access.

Nobleton Community Hall: The historic hall in the middle of Nobleton at 19 Old King Road has a kitchen and main hall that can accommodate 80 people. For more than 70 years, the hall has continuously served as a community gathering space.
