Yard Waste and Street Sweeping

Yard Waste
Yard waste collection in King began the week of April 10 and ends the week of December 4. Material should be placed at the curb in paper organic yard waste bags or open rigid containers, clearly marked as yard waste, before 7 a.m. on the collection day specified in the waste calendar, available at king.ca/waste.

Street Sweeping
The Township street sweeping program is underway. Sand and debris are swept from King’s roads to prevent materials from clogging the storm sewers and to provide a safe and clean roadway for all users. King rotates the areas swept each year. Spring street sweeping has taken place in King City and Nobleton. Schomberg sweeping was scheduled to start on April 27.

Residents are asked to not park or block residential streets to avoid blocking street sweeping operations.
