King Township is undertaking a review of its urban design guidelines which apply to its Villages of King City, Nobleton, and Schomberg. The outcome of this review is anticipated to be a new, consolidated set of urban design guidelines that apply to the Villages (outlined on the map on page 2 of the notice), focusing on three areas: Village Centres, Established Neighbourhoods, and Employment Areas.

Each Village in King Township has unique characteristics, circumstances, and issues that must be considered in developing the Guidelines. All interested persons are invited to join one or more Virtual Public Open Houses to learn about this project and contribute to our understanding of the unique traits of each Village. The Draft Village Urban Design Guidelines are being prepared in 2021. Additional consultation events will be held as the project progresses.

Three Virtual Public Open Houses are being held, and each open house will focus on one of the Villages to inform the Project Team’s understanding of the unique traits, opportunities, and aspirations of each Village:

KING CITY: Wednesday, October 6, 2021 | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
