Curb and granular installation is nearing completion and crews are ready to place the first layer of asphalt.
The existing granular ramps will b
e removed the afternoon prior to the asphalt placement in order to complete the final grading. Access to driveways will not be available until after the asphalt placement.
During the asphalt operation, vehicular traffic will not have access to Brownsville Court except in emergency situations. Residents may park along Western Avenue and walk to their property. The Contractor, Gio Crete Construction Ltd., will notify each property owner/resident prior to any driveway closures.
This work is expected to start as early as July 27 at 12 pm, to July 28th 5 pm, weather permitting.
There will be a total of two layers of asphalt placed. The second (top) layer is to be placed in 2022 after an inspection has occurred to ensure there have been no settlement issues over the winter season.
