Take Notice that the Corporation of the Township of King intends to publish the updated Development Charges (DC) Background Study and Proposed DC By-law in accordance with Section 10(4) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended (the Act), on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at king.ca/developmentcharges.
And Take Notice that on Monday, May 11, 2026, the Council of the Township of King will hold a Public Meeting, pursuant to Section 12 of the Act to present and obtain public input on the DC Background Study and Proposed DC By-law.
All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting of Council and any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the DC Background Study and Proposed DC By-law.

When: Monday, May 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
Where: Township of King Council Chambers at 2585 King Road, King City
How to Participate:
- View the meeting in-person or watch virtually at king.ca/meetings. No pre-registration is required.
- Submit written comments to the Township Clerk at clerks@king.ca by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on the day of the meeting. Comments will be circulated to Council and Staff prior to the meeting.
- To speak at the meeting, pre-register with the Township Clerk at 905-833-4068 or email clerks@king.ca no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on the day of the meeting. If you are pre-registering, you must indicate how you wish to participate (video, phone, or in-person), and provide your full name, address, telephone number. Upon receipt of your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for participating. All comments addressed to Council will form part of the public record.
And Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of King will consider the final 2026 DC By-law at its regular meeting of Monday, June 15, 2026. Interested parties are invited to attend, more information on this meeting including the meeting agenda will be made available at king.ca/meetings on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
