Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of King intends to consider amending a by-law under Section 36 of the Planning Act to remove the Holding (H) Symbol for the lands described below. The purpose of this notice is to inform you of this intent and to invite you to hear Council’s decision on the matter.

When:            Monday, February 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.

Where:           Township of King Council Chambers at 2585 King Road, King City

This Council Meeting will be held in a hybrid format, both in-person and live streamed at https://www.king.ca/meetings .

Subject Property

Location:        Block 208, Registered Plan 65M-4448, Village of Nobleton

Owner:           Tribute Nobleton Holding Corp.

The subject lands comprise a draft approved plan of residential subdivision (19T-15K01) with overall lot area of approximately 2.42 hectares (5.97 acres) and lot frontage along Oliver Emmerson Avenue (126.57 metres) as located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Ballard Drive and Oliver Emmerson Drive within the southwest portion of the settlement area of the Village of Nobleton.  A total of 22 detached dwelling lots are proposed.

The applicable zoning of the total landholding is Residential – Single Detached Exception Section 6.5.1.1 – Holding (‘R1-1(‘H’)’) Zone; Residential – Single Detached Exception Section 6.5.1.21 – Holding (‘R1-21(‘H’)’) Zone; Residential - Single Detached Exception Section 6.5.1.22 – Holding (‘R1-22(‘H’)’) Zone; and, Residential – Single Detached Exception Section 6.5.1.23 - Holding (‘R1-23(‘H’)’) Zone to Schedule ‘A’ of By-law No. 2016-71 (Nobleton Urban Area), pursuant to the approval of amending Zoning By-law No. 2022-077 on September 26, 2022.

The removal of the Holding (H) Symbol will, in part, facilitate the development of the lands in the manner intended by the draft approved plan and will implement the applicable zoning standards on the property.
