Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of King intends to consider amending a by-law under Section 36 of the Planning Act to remove the Holding (H) Symbol for the lands described below. The earliest Council will consider passage of the by-law is the Council Meeting on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of this notice is to inform you of this intent and to invite you to hear Council’s decision on the matter.

The subject lands comprise a total landholding, generally rectangular in shape, with an overall lot area of 42.61 hectares (105.31 acres) and approximate lot frontage of 1,024.0 metres and 372.0 metres onto King Road and Jane Street, respectively. Proposed development includes a multi-building, multi-phase light industrial plan of subdivision consisting of 155,027.69 m2 of gross floor area in five (5) stand alone buildings.
The applicable zoning of the total landholding is Employment – Restricted Exception Holding (‘E1-13(‘H’)’) Zone; Employment – Restricted Exception Holding (‘E1-14(‘H’)’) Zone; and, Environmental Protection Exception (‘EP-2’) Zone to Schedule ‘A5’ of By-law No. 2017-66 (Schomberg and King City Urban Areas), pursuant to the approval of amending Zoning By-law No. 2023-058 on May 29, 2023.
The removal of the Holding (H) Symbol will, in part, facilitate the development of the lands, as proposed, and will implement the applicable zoning standards on the property
