Notice of Intention to Amend Designation By-law 92-123 Under the Provisions of Section 30.1 Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990 as Amended
Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of King intends to amend By-law 92-123, being a by-law to designate the property known as 2920 King Road, described as Part of Lot 6 of Concession 4, in the Village of King City, in the Township of King in the Regional Municipality of York, Province of Ontario, under Part IV, S. 30.1 of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990.
Purpose and Effect of Amendment
On February 23, 2026, Council of King Township resolved to amend By-law 92-123 designating the property known as 2920 King Road to update the Statement of Cultural Heritage Value or Interest and Heritage Attributes of the property in accordance with Section 30.1 of the Ontario Heritage Act. The amendment will add two contributing heritage structures to the designation, namely:
- King Station, and
- Laskay Hall
These structures will be formally recognized as part of the designated heritage property.
