With summer’s swift approach the time left to register your camper is running out

Township of King, Ont. (May 27, 2025) —Spots in King Township summer camps are filling up fast! With just one month to go there is still availability in (some) camps. Whether your child is a baker or builder, an artist, actor, animal lover or fan of superheroes, secret agents, science and sports, there’s a summer camp experience waiting for them!  

Choose from over 40 unique camps for ages 4 to 13 in the categories of arts and culture, culinary, sports, science and technology, the outdoors, special themes and leadership.    

Camps start on June 30 until August 29 and run for nine one-week sessions throughout July and August.

Camp programming runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended care included for all campers. Flexible drop-off is available starting at 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. with flexible pick-up available between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.. To ensure summer camps are an accessible and supportive space, one on one inclusion supports are available by request to campers with a disability aged 4 to 15 at no additional cost pending staff availability.

Finding something to do close to home is a priority for King Township families. With camps in Nobleton, King City, and Schomberg summer entertainment is right around the corner no matter which community you live in. 

Nobleton

Tasca Park

At the award-winning Tasca Park, your child will be able to take advantage of various amenities, including a playground, fitness trail, soccer field, splash pad, and tennis, pickleball, basketball and ball hockey courts (pending availability). The scenic green space also has on-site washrooms and water fountains as well as a pavilion shade structure; the Township is securing extra tents to provide additional shaded space for campers.  

Dr. William Laceby Nobleton Community Centre & Arena

Centrally located, the Dr.William Laceby Nobleton Community Centre & Arena with access to community rooms and kitchen as well as the outdoor park.

  • Cooking Junior: learn about cooking safety and cleanliness, make hearty snacks, healthy meals and delicious desserts
  • Cruise Control Lab: design a race car, dive under the hood to explore the fascinating mechanics of transmissions, pistons and differentials and hit the track
  • Leaders In Training (LIT): leadership skills development through teamwork, trainings and real-world camp experiences
  • Roblox Coding Adventure SPACE OBBY: coding fundamentals, Lua scripting, physics of 3D space, leaderboards, asset creation, asset monetization, game rules engine algorithms planning, and presentation skills.
  • You’re the Chef: explore different cooking styles from around the world and collect recipes to use in a chopped style throwdown
King City

King Heritage & Cultural Centre

A one-of-a-kind educational space, the King Heritage and Cultural Centre has a museum collection of over 8,000 artifacts, extensive archives, four historic buildings, two exhibition galleries, and a performance hall situated on over an acre of parkland. This summer children can experience a variety of themed specialty camps such as:

  • All Aboard: learn about the history, science and engineering behind locomotives through STEAM train-themed games, crafts, water play, and activities.
  • Drama: practice voice, movement, expression and performance
  • Illusion: learn sleight of hand, card tricks, optical toys, the history of fortune telling and stage theatrics and host your own magic show
  • Mad Science: a week of sleuthing, investigation, astronomy, chemistry and discovery

Zancor Centre

With two NHL-sized ice rinks, a six-lane lap pool and leisure pool, indoor artificial turf field and multi-use activity rooms, the new  Zancor Centre has it all. Home to an assortment of camps for all ages this summer, it fits every need and interest of your little one.

  • Everything Animal: animal themed games, crafts and activities
  • Girls Hockey: get on-ice training, practice drills and play hockey games
  • Kool Kubs: games, outdoor play, sports, arts & crafts, songs and water play.
  • Summer Sizzle Junior: games, sports, arts & crafts, water play, swimming, outdoor play and a field trip to Cold Creek Conservation Area.
  • Summer Sizzle Senior: games, sports, arts & crafts, water play, swimming, outdoor play and a field trip to Cold Creek Conservation Area.

King Township Municipal Centre

Located in the heart of King, the King Township Municipal Centre is home to several camps this summer. A full-size gym and sprawling green space offers campers a picturesque place to play and learn.

Adventure Acrobats: refine acrobatic skills while building strength, flexibility and coordination

Schomberg

Schomberg Community Hall

Top notch facilities at the renovated Schomberg Community Hall will have your campers located in the heart of Schomberg on quaint Main Street, a quick walk to Osin Lions Park for some outdoor play. With kitchens located on both floors there is no shortage of space to create culinary masterpieces in this historic building.

  • You’re the Chef: explore different cooking styles from around the world and collect recipes to use in a chopped style throwdown
Cold Creek Conservation Area

Learning can be fun! Choose from one of many outdoor education camps at the scenic Cold Creek Conservation Area which boasts 7 kilometers of marked trails.

  • Animal Kingdom: learning about animal and bug habitats, bug catching, animal games, nature crafts, water play and hikes along the trails
  • Forest Friends: discover the magic of the woods through nature walks, animal-themed crafts, storytelling, mini hikes along the trails, water play, and playful outdoor games
  • Little Green Thumbs: mini hikes along the trails, water play, planter creation, learning about organic gardening and the importance of pollinators
  • Mini Homesteader: garden, bake and learn about sustainable living
