The Township of King’s Parks Operations team is dedicated to beautifying, maintaining and enhancing Township the outdoor community spaces you know and love. These include parks, playgrounds, sports fields, trails, and open spaces.

The Parks team is also responsible for forest and tree management, horticulture operations, crossing guard services, splash pad maintenance and ensuring outdoor spaces are ready for Township events.

The team maintains more than 90 hectares of active parkland, 205 hectares of passive open space and 330 kilometres of street trees. Not only that, this dedicated team also ensures that all 28 parks, 21 parkettes and playgrounds, 70 kilometres of trails, eight baseball diamonds, 24 soccer fields, 65,000 square feet of community garden and 337 horticulture barrels and baskets are in exceptional condition for our community to enjoy and embrace.

And there’s more. King’s Parks operators remove waste from 100 public locations and clear snow from 28 park paths, three trail locations and 22 municipal parking lots.
