King Township staff has raised almost $14,000 in the annual United Way campaign.
King staff raised the money though a payroll deduction program and events throughout the year.
King Township and the United Way have enjoyed a long partnership, stretching back to 2006.
The money donated will help United Way fight local poverty.
According to the 2021 Canada census, around 6 per cent of King’s 28,000 residents live in a low-income home. Almost a quarter of those people are children.
