King Township has reached an important milestone with the finalization of its updated Transportation Master Plan (TMP)—a long-term strategy guiding transportation planning and infrastructure investment through to 2051.
A 30-day public review period begins today. The community is invited to review the plan at speaking.king.ca.
The TMP outlines how the Township will plan, manage and invest in its transportation network over the short, medium and long term. It addresses future growth and key priorities, including:
- Road improvements
- Active transportation
- Transit
- Goods movement
- Traffic safety
- Coordination with regional and provincial transportation networks
Developed through technical analysis, public consultation and Council engagement, the updated plan reflects changing travel patterns, new infrastructure needs and emerging community priorities.
As King grows, the TMP will help support a safe, efficient and sustainable transportation network, while informing future capital planning and Development Charges through identified projects, timing and high-level cost estimates.
