Municipalities may declare a Significant Weather Event when a weather hazard, either forecasted or occurring, has the potential to pose a significant danger to users of the roadways in that municipality. Weather hazards include freezing rain, significant snowfall, strong winds, blowing snow, and reduced visibility.

King Township thanks everyone for their patience and cooperation as our roads crew worked hard over the past 4 days to clear our roads of the significant snowfall that left a total accumulation of 13 cm.

As snow removal operations continue, residents are reminded that parking your vehicle on or overhanging the sidewalk or allowing your vehicle to overhang into the roadway is strictly prohibited. Parking violations during snow clearing, sanding, or salting may result in fines.
