Rumour has it that the Easter Bunny arrived early and hid some eggs around the King Heritage and Cultural Centre for the youngest residents of King to track! To celebrate the upcoming Easter holiday, King Township’s heritage and cultural services team is inviting families to an outdoor Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 23 from 10 to 11:30a.m. at 2920 King Road in King City.
Kids can hunt down all the chocolate eggs that they find hidden outside the museum and throughout the King Railway Playground, then hop inside the museum for craft-time to create and colour their own paper bag Easter bunny.
The cost for the event is $12 per child for ages 3-16 and includes a take-home woven Easter basket. Adults and toddlers 3 years of age and under are free. Spots are limited and pre-registration is required at kingtownship.perfectmind.com.

Easter Closures
A reminder to residents that all Township recreation facilities and libraries will be closed for Good Friday on Friday, Mar. 29 and on Sunday, Mar. 31 to observe Easter Sunday. The Township Municipal Centre will be closed effective Thursday, Mar. 28 at 4:30p.m. until Easter Monday, inclusive. ServiceKING will reopen on Tuesday, Apr. 2 at 8:30 a.m.
Essential services, such as fire and emergency response and by-law and enforcement services, will continue uninterrupted. During the closure, calls regarding an urgent Township matter requiring immediate attention will be connected to the after-hours answering service.
