UPDATE 59 - July 23, 10 am
Despite all the great work King Township's citizens have done in crushing the curve of new COVID-19 infections, York Region Public Health (YRPH) has issued an alert due to a large party in Schomberg July 12.

As a result YRPH is issuing a public notice to assist in contact tracing for individuals who attended a large party held in Schomberg on Sunday July 12, 2020. To date, YRPH is aware of two confirmed cases and one probable case among non-York Region residents who attended this party. The two confirmed cases were infectious while at the party and cases reported physical distancing and mask wearing were not being practiced. A public notice is issued because further information on possible close contacts of these two confirmed cases is not available.

Anyone who attended the party on Sunday July 12, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on July 13 may have been exposed to COVID-19.
If you attended this party:
  • seek assessment and testing at a COVID-19 Assessment Centre
  • monitor yourself for new/worsening signs and symptoms related to COVID-19 until July 27, 2020 (14 days after last possible exposure)
  • if you are currently experiencing symptoms and attended the party, self-isolate immediately and call York Region Public Health at 1-800-361-5653
  • if you have been identified as a close contact of a case, call York Region Public Health at 1-800-361-5653 and self-isolate for 14 days after your last exposure and testing; remain in self-isolation for the full 14 days, even if your COVID-19 test result is negative.
