King 55+ Membership Options

• Membership Details

  Membership Option 1: King Connections 55+

  • Features: Access to programs developed by our dedicated group of volunteers from King City Seniors, Nobleton Seniors and Schomberg Seniors. Activities included but are not limited to card games, mahjong, carpet bowling, table tennis, gentle movement programs, social events, workshops, and presentations delivered by local businesses and community groups. Members will receive a weekly emailed newsletter with updates, program information, and reminders.
  • Discounts: Valid King Connections 55+ members will be eligible for discounts on select recreational programs outside of the membership program.  
  • Annual fee: For residents $20 and $25 for non-residents. The daily activity fee has been removed.
  • Each member will receive a membership card with a designated sticker to show a valid membership. Please ensure to show this membership card upon entry of a King Connections 55+ program.

  Membership Option 2: RecPass – Seniors

  • Features: Unlimited access to recreational drop-ins for swimming, aqua fitness, skating, sports, and fitness classes and centre’s. Starting January 02, 2026, this membership will also include the King Connections 55+ programs and workshops. 
    Optional: A weekly emailed newsletter with updates, program information, and reminders. Must email seniors@king.ca if you would like to be added to the mailing list.
  • Monthly fee: $30.85 + HST
  • Pre-registration for select drop-in recreational programming—including aquafit, sports, and fitness classes—at all King Township recreation facilities is required.
    Online registration opens for Residents: 72 hours (3 days) before the program start time 
    Non-Residents: 48 hours (2 days) before the program start time and is available at townshipofking.perfectmind.com.

  • Non-members are welcome in all recreational programming however will be subject to pay the drop-in fee associated with the program of choice.
• How Do I Join?

  1. Online:

     You can now purchase your King Connections 55+ or RecPass membership online directly via your recreational account.

     Please ensure you sign in to your account before using the link below or use the Membership's tab once logged in from the top navigation bar on your account.

• Senior Membership Programming

  For 2025, all King Connections drop-in programs have an activity fee of $1.00 for members and $2.00 for non members, unless otherwise specified.

  In 2026 the $1.00 activity fee will be removed and only the membership is required.

  You need to be a member of the King Connections (55+) to participate in the following programs.

  The King City Seniors Centre offers inclusive and accessible seniors-focused programs and services for seniors living in King and surrounding communities. This centre creates a sense of community and helps seniors with aging in place.

  The success of the centre is based on the partnership with the King City Seniors who volunteer their time and King Township staff.

King Age-Friendly Community

• What is an Age-Friendly Community?

  In an age-friendly community, the policies, services, and structures related to the physical and social environment are designed to help seniors "age actively." In other words, the community is set up to help seniors live safely, enjoy good health and stay involved. The AFC initiative focuses on 8 key domains of community life in which communities can become more age friendly.

• King AFC Steering Committee

  Members of the King AFC Steering Committee have assisted Community Services staff with collecting all relevant information to support the development of the King AFC Action Plan. Following its completion, the Committee will remain actively engaged and work alongside Community Services staff to coordinate and monitor the Plan’s implementation.

• How do I navigate Xplor to view Seniors (55+) Programming?

  

   

• How to register for & withdraw from Drop-In Programming?

  Drop-in recreational programming is available daily, including aquafit, skating, shinny hockey, sports and access to fitness equipment and classes.

  Pre-registration for select drop-in recreational programming—including aquafit, sports, and fitness classes—at all King Township recreation facilities will be required effective Monday, January 27.

  Drop-in skating and shinny hockey will not require pre-registration.  

  Online registration will open Residents: 72 hours (3 days) before the program start time Non-Residents: 48 hours (2 days) before the program start time and is available at townshipofking.perfectmind.com.

  Pre-registration in a drop-in program ensures your spot is saved and you won’t be turned away at the door if the program is at capacity.  

  Looking to withdraw from your registered drop in program?

  You can now withdraw from Recreational Drop-In Programs that you've registered for by logging into your Xplor Recreation account!

  How to Register - Online Registration

  The most convenient way to register for your program or fitness session is through our online registration software, Xplor Recreation. Follow the steps below to register today! 

  • Set up a family account online
  • Select the Programs tab for a list of program options
  • Select the Register button located on the program details page to begin the registration process
  • Select the Membership tab to purchase a fitness membership or to renew your expiring membership
  • Select the Facilities tab to view facility availability
  • Registration for a program or membership is complete and confirmed once payment is made in full
  • Visa, MasterCard and AMEX is accepted through our online registration software
  • We reserve the right to cancel any registration
