Election Accessibility

2022 Municipal and School Board Post-Election Accessibility Report

Voting Day for the 2022 Municipal Election was on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022.

King Township is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. This includes ensuring that Municipal Elections are accessible to everyone.

All voting locations were accessible, and entrances were well marked with the universal access symbol and within close proximity of the parking lot.

Vote at Home Program

The Township of King provided an option for homebound voters in any of the Municipal Elections.

Register for the Vote at Home Program

The Vote at Home Program is for homebound electors who are unable to physically attend a voting place. A Homebound Elector means an elector whose ability to move or function is restricted to the extent that they cannot attend a polling station without significant difficulty or support assistance. For example, they may be bedridden due to illness or injury.

The Vote at Home Program dates took place on the same as the advance voting dates at the King Township Municipal Centre, Tuesday, Oct. 11 to Friday, Oct. 14 and Monday, Oct. 17 to Friday, Oct. 21. The established times were from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each voting day.
