Featuring mid-way rides, inflatables, food trucks, a fireworks display and (new!) battle of the bands

Township of King, Ont. (May 5, 2025) — From mid-way rides, games, inflatables and live music to food vendors and a fireworks display, it’s how thousands of King residents choose to mark the unofficial start to the summer season year after year: the Nobleton Victoria Day Fair and Fireworks Show. King Township residents and the surrounding community are invited to attend the family-friendly event, presented by event sponsor Tim Hortons, on Monday, May 19 from noon to dusk at the Dr. William Lacey Nobleton Community Centre, located at 15 Old King Road.

Festivities get underway at 11 a.m. with a parade that begins at the Nobleton Public Library and travels south on Highway 27 and ends at 15 Old King Road at noon, just in time for the start of the outdoor fair. Residents are invited to watch the parade route from the sidelines.

Here is the line-up of fun activities scheduled:

  • Live entertainment including performances by students from Aria School of Music.
  • Mid-way rides such as a ferris wheel, wacky shack spinner, berry go round, teacups and fun slide.
  • Traditional carnival games (think pinball) and inflatable games such as soccer darts, Tic Tac Toe, and Battleship, plus a variety of lawn games.
  • Food and retail vendors: indulge in ice cream, hot dogs, churros, funnel cake, corn, kettle corn, poutine and other guilty pleasures. Purchase one-of-a-kind crafts from local artisans, such as handmade soaps, candles, books, toys, jewelry, décor and more.
  • New this year! Battle of the Bands: Competing bands will each play a 30-minute set live on stage and the winner (selected by the audience) will secure a spot as the opening act for King Township’s Canada Day event headliner.

Entry to the event is free. Guests must pay to ride the mid-way rides and play games. Single and multi-pack tickets will be available for purchase on-site.

Watch (and donate to!) the fireworks show

The Victoria Day event culminates at dusk with its signature fireworks show, put on by the Nobleton Firefighters Association from King Fire and Emergency Services. The show is credited as one of the best Victoria Day fireworks displays in Ontario, it is also the largest publicly funded show and relies on donations from business and residents.

Every Saturday until the event, the crew from the Nobleton Firefighters Association will be going door-to-door to residences from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to collect monetary donations. They will be dressed in full King Fire and Emergency Services uniform. You’ll also see them at shopping plazas in Nobleton. Donations can also be made online at king.ca/OnlineServices. Tax receipts will be provided for donations of $10 or more.

A reminder to residents that fireworks can only be set off on Victoria Day and fireworks cannot be set off on public land, including parks or parking lots. Instead of setting off your own, make a day of it and attend the Nobleton Victoria Day event.

Be sure to arrive early since parking and space fill quickly. Bring your own blankets and/or lawn chairs. The best spot to see the fireworks is behind the Nobleton Arena. The show starts at dusk.

Nobleton Victoria Day has run for more than 50 years and attracts over 2,000 attendees annually. Thank you to all our sponsors who made this year’s event possible: Tim Horton’s, Treasure Hill, Universal Care, Lindvest, and York Energy Centre.
