Effective immediately, the Chief Fire Official has lifted the Township-wide ban on all outdoor fires.

Fire officials will closely monitor environmental conditions and reinstate the ban if needed.

Having a fire in the Township may require a permit under the Open-Air Burning By-Law.

If you’re not sure what type of fire you're allowed to have, you can view an interactive burn and fire restriction map at www.king.ca/burninginking.

Permits can currently be obtained over the phone or via email with King Fire and Emergency Services at aball@king.ca.

For more information on outdoor burning or for any other fire and life safety information, residents are encouraged to contact King Fire and Emergency Services at its non-emergency line at 905-833-2800 from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

For emergencies, please call 911.
