Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of King intends to consider amending a by-law under Section 36 of the Planning Act to remove the Holding (H) Symbol for the lands described below. The earliest Council will consider passage of the by-law is the Council Meeting on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of this notice is to inform you of this intent and to invite you to hear Council’s decision on the matter.

The subject lands comprise a vacant parcel of land located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Keele Street and Dennison Street within the Village of King City. The subject property previously contained one (1) single detached dwelling with driveway access onto Keele Street. The overall lot area of the subject property is approximately 0.10 hectares (.24 acres). The Owner is proposing to construct one (1) townhouse block of five (5) dwellings with driveway access onto Dennison Street.
The applicable zoning of the subject property is Residential Townhouse – Holding Exception 6.5.10.9 (‘R3-9 (‘H’)’) to Schedule ‘A4’ of By-law No. 2017-66 (Zoning By-law for the King City and Schomberg Urban Area), as amended by Zoning By-law No. 2024-037.
The removal of the Holding (H) Symbol will, in part, facilitate the development of the lands in the manner intended by the approved site plan and will implement the applicable zoning standards on the property.
