Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of King intends to consider amending a by-law under Section 36 of the Planning Act to remove the Holding (H) Symbol for the lands described below. The earliest Council will consider passage of the by-law is the Council Meeting on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of this notice is to inform you of this intent and to invite you to hear Council’s decision on the matter.

The proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law submitted by 1000199202 Ontario Inc. concerns lands municipally known as 31 and 37 Banner Lane that are located on the east side of Banner Lane, south of King Road within the Village of King City and comprise a total landholding of approximately 0.39 hectares (0.95 acres). Each property currently contains a single-detached dwelling.

Provisional Consent Approval was granted by the Township of King Committee of Adjustment on October 16th, 2024  through Consent Application File No. B-24-03 and B-24-04 which facilitated a boundary adjustment between the existing properties 31 and 37 Banner Lane and the creation of one (1) new lot for the purpose of infill residential land use (to be addressed 35 Banner Lane).

The applicable zoning of the total landholding is Residential – Single Detached “C”. Exception 6.5.4.5 – Holding (H) (R1C-5-H) to Schedule ‘A6’ of By-law No.2017-066 pursuant to the approval of amending Zoning By-law No. 2024-080 on October 15th, 2024.

The removal of the Holding (H) Symbol will implement the applicable zoning standards on the property and facilitate the development of the lands in the manner intended by the related Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and Consent Applications.
