Take Notice that the Township of King has received a complete application for a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P.13, as amended, concerning 2018-2022 King Road, in the Township of King.
The Planning Division has commenced processing the application. A Council Public Planning Meeting will be scheduled and held at a later date, with formal notice being provided pursuant to the statutory requirements of the Planning Act.
If you have received this notice as an owner of a property that contains seven (7) or more residential units, please post this notice in a visible location to all residents of the land.

Proposed Changes
The total landholding consists of two (2) parcels with a combined lot area of 0.18 hectares (0.46 acres) on the northwest corner of the intersection of King Road and King Boulevard, within the Village of King City. The property is legally described as Lots 7 & 8, Registered Plan 337 and municipally known as 2018-2022 King Road. Existing development on the site includes a detached dwelling (2022 King Road) and vacant land (2018 King Road).
The proposed development includes a six (6) storey commercial building with a veterinary clinic proposed for the ground floor with offices and a club use proposed for upper floors of the development. A total of 42 parking spaces are proposed for the development with a combination of surface parking and one (1) level of underground parking. The proposed building is to be comprised of 2,641 m² of gross floor area with a floor space index of 1.56.
The application proposes amendments to the zoning by-law, including those related to permitted uses and increases in maximum permitted building height and density; reduction in minimum required parking and loading spaces; and reductions in minimum required yards.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Council of the Township of King regarding the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the Clerk of the Township of King, 2585 King Road, King City, ON L7B 1A1, or by email at clerks@king.ca.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Township of King to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of King before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Township of King before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
