Township of King, Ont. Denny Timm, Manager of Legislative Services and Deputy Clerk for the Township of King, officially takes on the role of Township Clerk starting Sept. 1.

In June, King Council appointed Timm as the next Township Clerk effective Sept. 1, 2022. Kathryn Moyle, Township Clerk and Director of Corporate Services, in June announced her retirement effective Nov. 30, 2022, after 15 years with the Township. Denny Timm

Serving as Manager of Legislative Services with King for the past six years, Timm’s previous municipal experience includes roles with the Town of Ajax and the City of Thunder Bay.

As Township Clerk, Timm will be responsible for maintaining the administrative, as well as the legislative, requirements necessary for Township Council and the municipal corporation to function in addition to managing corporate information and the issuance of various permits and licences.

Timm holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Western University’s Local Government Program, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science and Labour Studies from the University of Windsor and is a Certified Municipal Officer with the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario.
