King Township has ended the Significant Weather Event designation put in place in response to the extreme winter conditions that began February 17, 2022.

Municipalities may declare a Significant Weather Event when a weather hazard, either forecasted or occurring, has the potential to pose a significant danger to users of the roadways in that municipality. Weather hazards include freezing rain, significant snowfall, strong winds, blowing snow, and reduced visibility.

King Township would like to thank all residents, businesses, and visitors for their understanding and co-operation during this event. Please continue to use caution when travelling the network of roads and sidewalks, and please drive according to weather conditions.
