Check out the article in the most recent issue of the NRU, where our environmental team discusses the significant steps King is taking to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across various sectors, including residential, commercial, agricultural, transportation, and municipal waste.
The KCCAP aims to cut emissions by 35% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Key actions include installing an electric vehicle charging network, improving walking and cycling infrastructure, and protecting naturalized areas to enhance flood resilience.
Developed after more than 1,000 touchpoints, the KCCAP emphasizes community involvement and will be evaluated every five years, with annual progress updates posted online.
