King Declares Significant Weather Event

The Township of King has declared a Significant Weather Event starting Sunday, Jan. 16 at 11 p.m., based on the Snowfall Warning issued by Environment Canada.

Conditions are favourable for a significant snowfall of 15 to 20 centimetres with 25 centimetres beginning Sunday night. Snowfall is expected to continue through Monday, Jan. 17 and into the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 18. There is a chance of blowing snow in open areas and wind gusts of up to 60 kilometres an hour.

The Township of King is advising drivers and residents to be cautious and drive to the conditions of the road. Residents are reminded not to not park on any roadways/sidewalks within the Township to allow snow clearing vehicles to do their work.
