Apply by March 13, 2026, for the opportunity to work full-time hours throughout the summer

Township of King, Ont. (December 19, 2025) — Are you a creative artist, budding chef, adventure seeker, sports enthusiast, or science whiz? Your skills can inspire the next generation—and earn you a paycheck!

This summer, become a camp counsellor, coordinator, or director at our recreation facilities. You’ll earn competitive wages (ranging from $18.10 to $22 per hour depending on the position) while having fun and building leadership and communication skills that stand out on your resume or college/university application.

We're looking for candidates with interests or expertise in a variety of areas, including:

  • science
  • outdoor nature education (orienteering, hiking)
  • creative arts
  • preschool / early childhood education
  • cooking and baking
  • sports (hockey, badminton, basketball, pickleball archery, volleyball and soccer)

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children
  • Social Insurance Number
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C
  • Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check (Obtain upon hire)
  • HIGH FIVE®: Principles of Healthy Child Development (course offered by King Township or HIGH FIVE National)

Camp locations include: Zancor Centre, Nobleton Arena, the Trisan Centre, Schomberg Hall, King Township Municipal Centre, King Heritage and Cultural Centre, and Cold Creek Conservation Area. Camp runs from June 29 to September 4, with days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Flexible drop-off for campers start at 8:30 a.m. with pick-up ending at 5 p.m. The Zancor Centre and Nobleton Arena will also offer extended care from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m to 6 p.m.
