York Region continues to deliver safe, high-quality drinking water to Nobleton through its groundwater system. In 2024, the Region achieved 100% compliance with Ontario’s Drinking Water Quality Standards.

While Nobleton’s groundwater naturally contains more iron than lake water, current levels—though above aesthetic guidelines—pose no health risk. York Region uses safe chlorine levels to disinfect water and ensure it remains clean from source to tap.

To improve taste and colour, a new Nobleton Water Treatment Plant is in development, with construction expected to begin in early 2026 and completion in 2028.
