Township of King, Ont.Cyclists riding through the Holland Marsh are beingTour de Holland wayfinding sign guided with signs for the Tour de Holland bike route with many stops identified along the way.

The Tour de Holland on-road route connects to the Greenbelt Route, a 475-kilometre signed cycling route stretching from Niagara to Northumberland County.

The route is self-directed and passes through rich agricultural land and quaint villages with stops at bakeries, farms, wineries and cafés in King City, Kettleby, Schomberg, Ansnorveldt and Simcoe County.

Adding signage to the route was one of the recommendations made in King Township’s Active Transportation Strategy. An additional 100 wayfinding signs along this 68-kilometre Greenbelt route were installed in 2022.

The Tour de Holland route can start and end at the King City GO and Bradford GO stations so cyclists can get there by transit from downtown City of Toronto or cycle halfway and take transit back.

This project is a partnership with the Township of King, York Region, Simcoe County, the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, the Town of New Tecumseth, the Waterfront Regeneration Trust and the Greenbelt Foundation.
