Interested in learning about cultural heritage conservation in King? Attend one of three upcoming cultural heritage protection workshops led by the King Heritage Advisory Committee in partnership with the Township’s Heritage team. The free information sessions will be hosted at a King Township Public Library on the following dates:

King City Library: Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 7 to 8 p.m.

            Schomberg Library: Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Nobleton Library: Thursday, Nov. 30 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Each one-hour session will include time for discussion, a question-and-answer period, and cover the following popular topics:

  • Importance of heritage conservation in King Township
  • Navigating and understanding the Ontario Heritage Act and Policies
  • Common heritage myths
  • Ways to protect heritage in the Township
  • Heritage grant opportunities upt to $6,000
