Voter Information
The official date for the Municipal Elections was Monday, Oct. 24, 2022. There were twelve (12) advance voting opportunities, see the list that follows.
ADVANCE VOTING OPPORTUNITIES
- Saturday, October 8, 2022: Trisan Centre, Schomberg, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Tuesday, October 11 to Friday, October 14, 2022: Municipal Office, King City, 9:00am - 8:00pm
- Saturday, October 15, 2022: Dr. William Laceby Community Centre and Arena, Nobleton, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Monday, October 17 to Friday, October 21, 2022: Municipal Office, King City, 9:00am - 8:00pm
- Saturday, October 22, 2022: King City Arena and Community Centre, King City, 9:00am - 5:00pm
VOTING ON ELECTION DAY
Polls open on election day, Monday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Here is a list of Wards and polls.
Acclaimed Positions
In the 2022 King municipal elections, the position of the Mayor is acclaimed, as are the Councillor positions in Wards 2 and 6. Voters in Wards 2 and 6 may still vote for a school board trustee. Voters in Wards 1, 3, 4 and 5 may vote for a Ward Councillor and a school board trustee. The French separate school board trustee has also been acclaimed.
Voter Eligibility
At least 18 years of age or older;
A Canadian citizen;
A resident of King Township; or
An owner or tenant of property in King Township; or
The spouse of an owner or tenant of property in King Township; and
Not otherwise prohibited from voting in a municipal election under any law.

Election Day is Monday, Oct. 24, 2022. You can vote on Election Day, and there are additional options for voting, including Advance Voting starting Saturday, Oct. 8 and finishing Saturday, Oct. 22.

Voter Notification Cards
If your name is on the voters' list to vote in the 2022 Municipal Elections, you should receive a gold-coloured Voter Notification Card mailed to your home. This card confirms you are registered to vote in the 2022 Municipal Elections. It will tell you where and when you can vote.
