Notice
This will serve as formal notification of construction on King Road west of Weston Road in the Township of King.
Description:
- Intersection improvements at King Road and Weston Road were completed in summer 2021
- Recently, some of the material on the south slope of King Road to the west of Weston Road eroded
- Repair work to the slope is necessary to avoid damage to the road
- Work will include stabilizing the slope
Duration:
- December 7, 2022 to January 2023
- As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather and York Region will provide advance notice where possible
Impacts to travellers:
- Construction will occur on weekdays and weekends from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- The road will remain open to through traffic; however, for safety and to expedite construction, King Road will be reduced to one lane when construction is underway
- Eastbound and westbound traffic will be directed onto the remaining north lane of King Road during working hours and travellers should expect delays
- Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
