King Township Municipal Centre, recreation facilities, and libraries will be closed on Wednesday, July 1 to observe the Canada Day holiday. Essential services will continue uninterrupted. Waste collection scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, Thursday, July 2 and Friday, July 3 will shift by one day.
As the long weekend approaches, King Township is reminding residents to celebrate responsibly and respect our neighbours.
King Township will enforce its fireworks bylaw on Canada Day to ensure the safety of residents, properties and livestock. A reminder that fireworks can ONLY be set off between dusk and 11p.m. on Canada Day, and cannot be set off on any public land, including parks, parking lots or roads.
Bylaw Services will be patrolling throughout the holiday to ensure fireworks are not used on public property.

Celebrate Canada Day at Memorial Park in King City from 5 p.m. to dusk. Free, family-friendly event featuring live music, food vendors, a beer garden, inflatables, facepainting, magic and a drone show. Parking is limited—please walk, bike, or carpool if you can.
