Hosted in partnership with LEAF, this event will help grow the local tree canopy at Bluff Trail

Township of King, Ont. (April 10, 2026) — Looking for a way to keep King green this spring? Join King Township and LEAF on Sunday, May 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. for the Community Tree Planting event at 32 Bluff Trail, Nobleton.

This family-friendly event is the perfect opportunity to give back to the community (and earn volunteer hours if you’re a high school student!) while growing the local tree canopy.

Registration for this tree planting is required. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants are asked to wear the following:

  • Closed-toed shoes or boots (no sandals)
  • Gardening gloves (if you have them – extras will be available at the event)
  • Appropriate clothing (tree planting will happen rain or shine)

King Township is committed to preserving its natural environment, working collaboratively with our partners and the community to expand the local tree cover, boost biodiversity and create vital habitats for pollinators and wildlife. Since 2022, King Township has planted over 30,000 native trees, shrubs and wildflowers in parks and open spaces through community tree planting.
