Notice of Intention to Repeal Designation By-Laws 90-80 And Amending By-law 2024-044 Under the Provisions of Section 31, Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990 as Amended
Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of King intends to repeal By-law No. 90‑80, being a by-law that designated the property municipally known as 2920 King Road, described as Part of Lot 6, Concession 4, in the Village of King City, Township of King, Regional Municipality of York, Province of Ontario, under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.
And Take Notice that Council further intends to repeal By-law No. 2024‑044, being an amending by-law related to Designating By-law No. 92‑123, which also applies to the property known as 2920 King Road.
Purpose of Proposed Repeals
The purpose of the proposed repealing by‑law is to consolidate the heritage designation of the subject property under a single, updated designating by‑law that reflects current legislative standards under the Ontario Heritage Act. The property will continue to be designated under Designating By‑law No. 92‑123, as amended, which remains in full force and effect.
Notice of Objection
Any person wishing to file a notice of objection to the repeal(s) must file such notice of objection together with a statement of reasons, with the Township Clerk of the municipality within 30 days (Friday, March 27, 2026 by 4:30 p.m.), after the date of publication of this notice on the Township of King website (www.king.ca).
