King Township is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Marina Fung, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer, effective February 9, 2026.
Ms. Fung brings six years of public sector accounting experience, most recently as Manager of Budget and Financial Planning for the Town of Stouffville. Her background also includes roles with Durham Region Non-Profit Housing Corporation and five years in private accounting.
At Stouffville, Ms. Fung led initiatives such as managing $120 million in annual operating and capital budgets, implementing service-based budgeting, and advancing Asset Management Plans. Under her leadership, the municipality earned Government Finance Officers Association awards for its budget publications.
A Chartered Professional Accountant, Ms. Fung offers King Township strategic financial planning expertise, innovation in Artificial Intelligence driven solutions, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
