WELCOME TO RURAL KING
A significant portion of the King Township economy takes place outside the 3 main settlement areas, with Rural King playing home to some of King Township’s largest businesses and organizations.
The logos below are some of the businesses located outside of the settlement areas of King City, Nobleton and Schomberg.
A number of rural businesses are hospitality and tourism destinations. Some agricultural organizations augment their business by also offering hospitality.
Thriving Farming, Agricultural & Equine Community
Agriculture on the Holland Marsh is estimated to have an annual economic impact of $1 billion.
Areas outside of the marsh, known as Highland Farming, have cash crops, beef and dairy cattle, chickens, ducks and more.
King Township’s thriving equine community includes riding schools, boarding establishments, race horses, show stables and breeders.
