Take Notice that the Township of King has received a complete application for a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P.13, as amended, concerning 12882, 12888, and 12894 Keele Street, in the Township of King.
The Planning Division has commenced processing the application. A Council Public Planning Meeting will be scheduled and held at a later date, with formal notice being provided pursuant to the statutory requirements of the Planning Act.
If you have received this notice as an owner of a property that contains seven (7) or more residential units, please post this notice in a visible location to all residents of the land.

Proposed Changes
The total landholding consists of multiple parcels comprising a total lot area of 0.37 hectares (0.93 acres) on the west side of Keele Street and south of King Road, within the Village of King City. The lands are located approximately 500 metres to the north of the King City GO Train Station. The property is legally described as Part of Lots 15, 16, 17 & 18, Registered Plan 84 and municipally known as 12882-12894 Keele Street. Existing development on the site includes detached dwellings (12888 & 12894 Keele Street) and vacant land (12882 Keele Street).
The proposed development includes a six (6) storey rental apartment building containing 105 residential units. A total of 137 parking spaces are proposed in two (2) levels of underground parking. Three parking spaces are to be located at grade. The proposed building is to be comprised of 7,525.81 m² of gross floor area with a floor space index of 1.99.
The application proposes amendments to the zoning by-law, including those related to increases in maximum permitted building height and density; reductions in minimum required yards; and reduction in minimum required amenity area.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Council of the Township of King regarding the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the Clerk of the Township of King, 2585 King Road, King City, ON L7B 1A1, or by email at clerks@king.ca.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Township of King to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of King before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Township of King before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
