Following recognition by the Government of Ontario earlier this year for King’s achievements in building an Age-Friendly Community, Council has endorsed King Township’s Age-Friendly Community Action Plan.
The plan outlines eight key priorities—from housing and transportation to social participation and accessibility—to help residents thrive at every stage of life.
Developed through extensive consultation with residents aged 55+, community partners, and the Age-Friendly King Advisory Committee, this plan reflects what our community told us matters most to help older adults age in place (grow older at home) with dignity and independence.
