Statement from King Township Mayor Steve Pellegrini on the death of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney
“On behalf of Council, staff and the residents of King Township, I convey our heartfelt condolences on the passing of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.
We join our fellow Canadians in mourning the loss of Canada's 18th prime minister, recognizing his unwavering dedication to our nation. Mr. Mulroney's extensive service from 1984 to 1993 left an indelible mark on our country's political landscape and economic policies.
In honor of his legacy, the flags at the King Township Municipal Centre and all King fire stations have been lowered to half-mast.
Our thoughts are with Mr. Mulroney's family during this difficult time, including his wife Mila, sons Ben, Mark, and Nicolas, and daughter Caroline, who serves as the Member of Provincial Parliament for York-Simcoe.”
