Book a spot at the next microchip and rabies clinic on July 26

Township of King, Ont. (July 21, 2026)King Township, in partnership with Vaughan Animal Services, is dedicated to creating a safe community for pets and their owners – which includes offering microchipping services, rabies vaccines and pet licensing.

Book an appointment to bring your pets to the microchip and rabies clinic at the Vaughan Animal Shelter (70 Tigi Crt., Unit 47) on Sunday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The following services are available at the clinic:

  • Microchip implant and registration ($25 per pet plus tax)
  • Rabies vaccine, certificate and tag ($25 per pet plus tax) 
  • King Township and City of Vaughan 2026 pet licence ($25 per pet)

Call the City of Vaughan at 905-832-2281 or email animal.services@vaughan.ca to schedule your timeslot. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Optional advance payment is available from Thursday, July 23 to Saturday, July 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., over the phone or in person at the animal shelter.

Licence your pet

Licensing helps ensure lost pets can be quickly returned home and supports animal services in the community. Online pet licensing is available and takes about 10 minutes to complete. Failure to license your dog or cat every year may result in a fine of $300 per animal. To apply for or renew a pet license call 905-832-2281 or email animal.services@vaughan.ca

Become a Tag and Wag partner 

Local businesses can partner with King Township and the City of Vaughan through the Tag and Wag program to gain visibility while demonstrating the importance of residents annually licensing their pets. If you become a partner, the City of Vaughan will list your business and the benefit you are offering on the City’s website.

Being a partner is easy and FREE. As a partner, your company will:

  1. Decide on the benefit you will provide to licensed pet owners. 
  2. Sign a Tag and Wag Benefits partner agreement. 
  3. Honour the benefit when a customer shows you their Tag and Wag Benefits membership card.
