Additional park amenities set to open by mid-August ahead of official opening celebration on September 12

Township of King, Ont. (July 17, 2026)Ready to rally? Two new pickleball courts with 3-tier spectator bleachers are now open at Nobleton Community Lions Park, offering residents an early look at the vibrant community hub taking shape as part of the Nobleton Park Revitalization project.

The soccer field is also nearly complete, with goals and player benches expected to be installed in the coming weeks as the Township works with local soccer groups to prepare the field for play.

By end of August, residents can look forward to the opening of additional amenities, including:

  • A wading pool that converts to a refrigerated outdoor ice rink in winter
  • An amphitheatre
  • Formalized walking paths

During ongoing construction, the existing baseball diamonds and playground remain open. Residents can continue to access the park via 15 Old King Road, with parking available at Dr. William Laceby Nobleton Community Centre & Arena.

Save the date!

Residents are invited to attend an official opening celebration on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, a magician, face painting and an opportunity to explore the park's new amenities. Stay tuned for more details.

Nobleton Park Revitalization

The Nobleton Park Revitalization project began construction in summer 2024 and is transforming the municipal properties at 15 Old King Road into a vibrant, multi-use community hub for residents of all ages. Resident and stakeholder feedback gathered through surveys, public information sessions and other engagement opportunities played a key role in shaping the final design.
