Applying Building Permit Online

The Township of King is now accepting electronic building permit applications.
Small electronic building permit applications can be submitted by email in PDF format
to bldsubmissions@king.ca - Large building permit applications can be submitted at the
Building Division’s front counter (temporarily, at the Township drop-box during the
COVID-19 pandemic) on a USB drive or re-writable DVD. Alternate digital formats for permit applications are also available through Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). Please contact us at bldsubmissions@king.ca for further information.

Development Charge Information

Development charges provide for the recovery of growth-related capital expenditures from new development. The Development Charges Act, 1997, is the statutory basis to recover these charges. They are also levied on residential, industrial, commercial and institutional development at either subdivision approval or at building permit issuance in accordance with the Township's current  by-law.
